19th Street Farm Dinner at Allium August 29th, 2010

Last night our farm was featured for the monthly neighborhood dinner at Allium Local Bistro in West Linn! It was a sold out affair and was quite cozy, due to the poor weather everyone was seated inside bummer because the outside seating is so nice there, I feel it worked out because everyone was able to share in the experaince as a group. Miles got up and gave a small speech about our farm and how our model works with the local community. We had some friends and family members come out to enjoy a great time sharing our food in professionally prepared form! Big thanks to Chefs and Ian Ragsdale for putting this event together. Also big thanks to Melissa Chureau and all the staff for their wonderful service it was a night to remember! I got some pics of the wonderful food, but got so excited about dessert I missed it and the salad! To all those that attended I’m sure you got your moneys worth out of it in wine alone, it was flowing like water, I mean what a deal for $36! If you want to get in on the next one please go to alliumoregon.com/events for more details on the next one on September 26th, better sign up fast there where people signing up before they left this one!

Artichoke flower

I love the artichoke flower it’s so weird it’s beautiful! This is in my old garden in SE Portland. They don’t grow well around here because it’s too hot, but they do well at the coast! -Blake
